The challenge

Vaughan Designs came to us at a pivotal moment. They were launching The Chelsea Collection into a competitive premium market and simultaneously operating a global website that wasn’t working hard enough organically. Two distinct problems, but deeply connected ones.

On the paid side, they needed to reach multiple audiences at once: high-intent retail shoppers actively searching for homeware and lighting, and top-of-funnel inspiration seekers without a specific purchase in mind yet. Introducing an entirely new product range while driving scalable purchases, without compromising the premium feel of the brand, demanded a careful, considered approach.

On the organic side, Vaughan had built a sophisticated multi-territory website, but without an SEO strategy to match. Duplicative content, unresolved technical issues and a lack of structural clarity were limiting their visibility with the very audiences they most needed to reach: interior designers and affluent homeowners searching for exactly what Vaughan makes.

The solution

Rather than treating paid and organic as separate workstreams, we built a strategy where each made the other stronger.

SEO: Building the Foundation
We began with a thorough technical audit to understand where the site was losing ground. Structural changes, including HREF Lang and canonical tag improvements, resolved the territorial indexing issues that had been suppressing visibility across the UK and US.

We then tackled content duplication across the product catalogue, cleaning up architecture and improving navigation to give both users and search engines a cleaner, more coherent experience of the brand.

The results came quickly: within two months, core keyword rankings had improved significantly, and search impressions had risen by over 63%.
Pinterest: Visual Discovery at Scale
Using high-intent visual discovery formats, we showcased The Chelsea Collection within interior design, modern living and architectural contexts that felt native to the platform and true to the Vaughan aesthetic.

Interest and keyword-based targeting reached users actively searching for premium lighting, driving quality traffic to individual product and collection pages and building the warm audiences that paid retargeting could then act on.
Meta: Awareness to Conversion
Broad targeting built top-of-funnel awareness for both Vaughan Designs and The Chelsea Collection, while retargeting brought high-intent audiences back to complete their purchase.

The combined approach ensured the collection reached both inspiration seekers and active buyers, maximising impact at every stage of the journey.
Why This Works Together:
SEO and paid media are often run as separate efforts. But when they’re aligned, the impact compounds. Stronger organic visibility means lower-cost, higher-quality audiences for retargeting. Better site structure means paid traffic lands somewhere that converts.

For Vaughan, bundling both services meant neither channel had to work in isolation, and the brand grew from multiple directions at once.

The obstacles

Vaughan is a heritage brand with a strong visual identity and a discerning customer base. Every decision, from ad placement to keyword strategy to content architecture, had to feel consistent with that positioning. Scaling for measurable performance without diluting the luxury feel required close collaboration, thoughtful creative choices, and a willingness to prioritise quality over volume at every stage.

A look to the future

Having established strong organic foundations and proven the impact of paid media for The Chelsea Collection, the next phase of our partnership with Vaughan is focused on building further momentum across both channels.

On the paid side, we’ll be widening the scope of our campaigns beyond the initial collection launch, bringing additional product categories into the mix and continuing to reach the interior designers, architects and affluent homeowners who are most likely to fall in love with the Vaughan range. With audience and creative learnings already in place, scaling into new categories means we can move quickly without sacrificing the luxury feel the brand demands.

On the organic side, our SEO focus turns to content. We will develop an optimisation roadmap that gives Vaughan a stronger, more authoritative presence across the search terms that matter most to the business. With the technical groundwork now solid, there’s a real opportunity to leverage the early visibility gains and ensure Vaughan is consistently found by the right people, in the right markets, at the right moment in their search journey.
