Revlon Hair Tools

Project Summary

Revlon is one of beauty’s most recognisable names,  but recognition alone doesn’t win in today’s social landscape. Uprated developed a social media, content, and influencer strategy designed to reconnect the brand with a beauty audience that increasingly discovers, considers, and buys through creators.

By building a content approach rooted in product performance and cultural relevance, and pairing it with the right creator partnerships, we supported Revlon in showing up with consistency and credibility across Instagram & TikTok.

Who is Revlon?

Founded in 1932, Revlon has spent nearly a century defining beauty for women around the world. Built on a legacy of bold colour, accessible glamour, and iconic firsts, from the original nail enamel to Charlie, one of the bestselling fragrances of all time.

Revlon remains one of the most recognised beauty brands globally. Today the brand spans colour cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, and hair colour, reaching consumers across mass and premium retail in markets worldwide.

Revlon

The Challenge

Revlon operates in one of the most competitive and creator-saturated categories in social media. Beauty is where social was built, and where audiences are most sophisticated, they can tell immediately when a brand is performing authentically rather than living it.

Our challenge was to help Revlon cut through in a space dominated by newer, more digital-native brands, while honouring the legacy and reach that makes Revlon worth competing for in the first place.

The Solution

We built a strategy centred on putting Revlon’s products in the hands of creators who could speak to them honestly and engagingly.

Our team focused on matching the right Influencers & Creators, to the right products, and ensuring the content worked natively on both TikTok & Instagram rather than being repurposed across both platforms. Content pillars were developed to give the programme structure and consistency, spanning product performance, tutorials, trend response, and brand story.

The Obstacles

Beauty is a category where the audience holds the brand accountable. Consumers and creators alike have strong points of view, and content that feels inauthentic or out of step with the conversation is called out quickly.

Working with a heritage brand in this environment required a careful balance, respecting what Revlon stands for while creating content that felt genuinely current, not nostalgic.

A Look To The Future

With strong foundations in place and results that prove the our strategy works, the next chapter of our partnership with Revlon is focused on scaling what’s already performing.

Moving forward, we’ll be expanding the influencer roster to bring fresh voices and new audiences into the Revlon story, deepening creator relationships that have already shown their ability to cut through in one of social media’s most competitive categories. With a growing body of content intelligence and audience insight behind us, we’re well placed to build campaigns that are sharper, more targeted, and even more authentic to the communities Revlon is looking to reach.

“ What our team said…

“Revlon is one of those brands that creators genuinely want to work with – the legacy, the products, the boldness of it all. Our job was to channel that energy into content that felt real and current, and the results speak for themselves.

When you get the creator match right, the audience responds, and that’s exactly what happened here. It’s the kind of campaign that reminds you why influencer marketing, done properly, is one of the most powerful tools a brand has.”
